BIRMINGHAM, Ala. -- The UAB men's basketball team will make at least six television appearances during the 2012-13 campaign, according to an announcement by Conference USA officials. In all, the Blazers will make two national television appearances, with four games set to be televised regionally.
Highlighting the Blazers' television package will be the contest at North Carolina on Dec. 1, which is set to air on ESPNU at 5 p.m. CT (6 p.m. ET). It is the only non-conference televised contest thus far.
Five C-USA contests featuring the Blazers will air on television, including a pair of games against Southern Miss and Memphis. The road game against the Golden Eagles on Jan. 19 (5 p.m.) and the home contest on Feb. 2 (7 p.m. CT) will be televised on CSS.
Both of UAB's contests against arch rival Memphis will also be televised. The home game against the Tigers on Jan. 12 will be televised on CSS at 7:30 p.m. CT, while the contest at Memphis in the regular-season finale (March 9) can be seen nationally on CBS College Sports CSS at 11 a.m. CT.
The other CSS game will be on March 6 when the Blazers host UCF on Senior Night at 6 p.m. CT.
Any additional television contests and game times will be announced at a later date. Fans can also purchase a subscription to Blazer Vision, which will carry all the home games and most of the road contests live via an internet stream.
UAB is set to open the 2012-13 season with an exhibition contest against North Alabama on Nov. 3. The regular-season begins with a home game against Young Harris College on Nov. 10.
