BIRMINGHAM, Ala. -- The start of Saturday's baseball series finale between UAB and Rice has been delayed by rain. The game will now begin at 1 p.m. (CT).

The game was slated to begin at 11 a.m., but rain hit the Birmingham this morning, forcing the start time to be pushed back.

Saturday's contest is the rubber game of a season-ending three-game series after UAB (29-24, 10-12 C-USA) won Thursday's series opener and Rice (35-14, 16-7 C-USA) answered back with a win Friday.
