AS A JUNIOR (2004)
Started 50 games in right field for the Blazers ... finished the season third on the team with a .316 average ... also hit five home runs and had 45 RBIs ... struck out just 33 times in 212 at-bats ... led the team with 18 doubles ... stole eight bases in ten attempts ... also appeared in 12 games as a pitcher, compiling a 2-2 record with two saves ... finished the season with a 2.16 ERA, allowing just 11 hits in 16.2 innings pitched ... struck out 24 batters in those 16.2 innings ... held opponents to a team-best .177 batting average ... started the season with a six-game hitting streak, including three consecutive two-hit games from Feb. 17-21 ... finished the Murray State series (Feb. 20-22) with five hits, six runs scored, six RBIs and his first home run of the year ... also pitched 1.1 scoreless innings against the Racers on Feb. 22 ... had two doubles and two RBIs against Marshall on Feb. 27 ... opened up conference play with six RBIs in the first two games against Louisville on March 19 and 20 ... recorded his longest relief outing of the season on Feb. 27 at Saint Louis, allowing just two hits and no runs while striking out seven batters in 3.2 innings ... picked up his first victory as a Blazer in that game against the Billikens ... made his only start of the season on April 10 at Memphis and lasted just 3.2 innings, allowing four hits and four runs ... went 3-for-4 at the plate with a home run and four RBIs against Alabama State on April 20 ... had two hits in each game of the TCU series (May 7-9) ... hit safely in 18 of the Blazers' final 19 games and ended the season with a ten-game hitting streak ... had seven hits in four C-USA Tournament games ... did not allow an earned run in his final 5.2 innings pitched on the season ... earned his first save with a scoreless inning of work at Charlotte on April 25 ... pitched a scoreless ninth inning and struck out the side at Birmingham-Southern on May 4 to pick up his second save

Played two seasons for coach Aarron Carroll at Tennessee Tech in Cookeville, Tenn. ... named Freshman All-American, Ohio Valley Conference Rookie of the Year and First-Team All-OVC ... hit .369 with 80 hits, 17 doubles and four home runs as a freshman ... hit .327 with 70 hits, 14 doubles and four home runs as a sophomore ... also posted a 3-3 record with a 2.05 ERA in his sophomore season

Named the 5A State Tournament MVP ... team won the 2001 5A State Championship ... an all-state and all-county selection ... was named team's MVP and received team's "Charlie Hustle" award ... also competed in wrestling
