· Named to the All-Conference USA Preseason Team
· Pitched as a starter, reliever and closer in final season in Green and Gold
· Right-hander appeared in 17 games, making 11 starts

· First UAB Player to earn C-USA Newcomer of the Year

· Ended the year 5-3, 2.87 ERA with 56 strikeouts in 84.2 innings
· Made 13 appearances, all starts for the Blazers
· Surrendered just 70 hits, holding opponents to a .230 batting average, fifth lowest in C-USA
· Seventh lowest ERA out of all C-USA arms
· Pitched 6-plus innings and gave up three earned runs or less in 11 of 13 starts
· Collected a career-high 11 strikeouts over 7.0 innings, giving up just one earned run to earn the win vs. Cleveland State on March 4
· Allowed just two earned runs over 8.0 innings to pick up the victory at Marshall on March 25
· Outdueled ECU's Seth Maness in Greenville, N.C. on April 1 to earn his fourth win of the season with a complete game effort
· In the ECU start, allowed just one run (unearned) off four hits, with two walks and five strikeouts en route to earning C-USA Pitcher of the Week (April 4)

2009-10 (Heartland CC)
· Played two years for coach Nate Metzger
· An NJCAA Third-Team All-American in 2010
· Also tabbed the Mid-West Athletic Conference Pitcher of the Year
· Posted a perfect 12-0 record with a 3.05 ERA in 13 starts as a sophomore
· Tossed seven complete games, including four shutouts, in that sophomore campaign
· Also struck out 88 batters and walked just 18 while holding opponents to a .234 batting average
· Went 7-1 with a 2.62 ERA as a freshman in 2009
· Struck out 64 batters and walked 17 in 44.2 innings on his way to ranking third in the NJCAA in strikeouts per inning
· Held opponents to a .229 batting average over 10 appearances and nine starts as he helped the Hawks to a 42-9 record
· Pitched for the Springfield Sliders of the Prospect League, one of the top collegiate summer leagues in the country, in 2009

High School
· Played for his father Mike at New Trier High School
· Earned all-state, all-conference and team MVP honors during his senior year in 2008 as a pitcher and shortstop
· Named MVP of his American Legion team in the summer of 2008
· Also played quarterback and wide receiver for the football team at New Trier
