2012 (Senior)

· Emerged as the staff ace towards the end of the 2012 season
· Finished with a 5-5 record and a 3.77 ERA
· Pitched a total of 98 innings, third most in Conference USA
· Appeared in 18 games, making 15 starts, which tied for second in the league
· Totaled 59 strikeouts, 26 walks and held opponents to a .265 batting average against him
· Held opposition to just two earned runs over first four appearances spanning 17 innings for 1.06 ERA (Feb. 18-March 13)
· Struck out a career-high nine batters over seven innings vs. Ball State (Feb. 26)
· Went 7.2 innings to earn a victory vs. Marshall (March 25) with eight strikeouts
· Fired the first complete game shutout by a Blazer since 2004 by blanking Houston on April 29
· Scattered five hits and walked one UH batter with five strikeouts in the victory
· Defeated Southern Miss (May 17) by tossing eight innings, allowing just one earned run
· Over his last four appearances (three starts) allowed just four earned runs in 24.2 innings for a 1.46 ERA (May 17-June 1)
· Defeated UCF (May 24) by pitching six innings, yielding just one earned run, in the first game of the C-USA Tournament
· Pitched in the C-USA Championship vs. Memphis (May 26) as a reliever, tossing the final 2.2 innings to earn the save
· Entered the championship game with the bases loaded and one out and recorded back-to-back strikeouts to earn the C-USA Tournament MVP award
· In the C-USA Tournament, pitched 8.2 innings, earned a win, save and allowed only one run (earned) off four hits (1.04 ERA)
· Given the starting nod against No. 3 Florida State (June 1) at the Tallahassee Regional - UAB's first NCAA Tournament appearance since 1991
· Pitched a complete game, eight-inning effort, surrendering just two runs (earned) off five hits in a 2-1 loss to the Seminoles
· Finished his two-year career with a 6-7 record, 4.28 ERA with 130.1 innings pitched and 79 strikeouts
· Named the 2012 Conference USA Spirit of Service Award recipient for the spring semester
· Selected to the Conference USA Commissioner's Honor Roll
· Participated in 22 games, making 15 starts
· Hit .211 (12-for-57) with nine RBI and seven runs scored
· Six of his 12 hits went for extra-bases, including two homers
· Went 2-for-3 with two doubles in a game he started on the mound and hit for himself at No. 16 Clemson (Feb. 18)
· Launched a two-run homer, which proved to be the game winner at Alabama State (Feb. 21)
· Roped a double and triple at Jacksonville State (Feb. 28)
· Connected for a homer and knocked in three vs. Gardner-Webb (April 20)

2011 (Junior)
· Made 18 starts at designated hitter and appeared in 26 games
· Received the starting nod on the mound in nine games
· Scored nine runs, knocked in seven and roped a pair of doubles
· Went a perfect 3-for-3 with two RBI against Xavier on February 25
· Collected two hits, scored a run and brought home another on May 21 at Utah
· Out of his nine starts on the mound, five came against C-USA opponents
· Finished with a 1-2 record and 5.85 ERA
· Totaled 20 strikeouts in 32.1 innings on the mound
· Posted season highs in innings (6.0) and strikeouts (6) at Marshall on March 27
· In the outing vs. Marshall, surrendered just one earned run on three hits
· Earned the victory at Jacksonville State on May 10, collecting three strikeouts in 3.0 innings
· Allowed just one earned run over 4.2 innings in a no decision vs. Memphis at the C-USA Tournament
· Named to the Conference USA Commissioner's Honor Roll

2010 (Hinds Community College)
· Played for coach Sam Temple and alongside fellow Blazer newcomer Ryan Nance
· Helped Hinds to a Mississippi state championship and a runner-up finish in its region
· Hit .324 with 10 doubles
· Scored 42 runs and drove in 40 in 52 games
· Went 8-for-10 on steal attempts

2008-09 (Mississippi State)
· Redshirt the 2009 season because of injury
· Coached in 2008 by the legendary Ron Polk, who is now a volunteer assistant at UAB
· Tied for the team-lead with 19 relief appearances as a freshman in 2008
· Struck out 30 batters in 37 innings, working mainly in middle relief
· Played in three games as a reserve shortstop for the Bulldogs

High School
· A four-year standout at Porter's Chapel Academy in Vicksburg, Miss., for coach Randy Wright
· A second-team Louisville Slugger All-American as a senior in 2007
· A three-time all-state selection
· Helped his team to a Mississippi state championship in 2006
· Hit better than .450 at the plate all four years
· Capped his career with a .566 batting average in 2007
· Tallied 22 doubles and 35 RBI in that senior campaign
· Also made good on 26-of-26 stolen base attempts
· Posted a 9-1 record on the mound in his senior year with a 0.60 ERA
· Struck out 118 batters in 57 innings
· Finished his high school career with 323 strikeouts
· Never posted an ERA worse than 0.88 in any of his four seasons
