SAM HUNT - FOOTBALL
October 30, 2007
After another disappointing loss it would be easy to back off as a coach or player and just kind of take it easy and hope for the best out of the last few weeks of the season. Coach Callaway has been here for a short time but the impact he's made will keep that from happening.
This team is also pulled along by a majority that won't let anyone slip away when it's easy to give in to the grind of a college football season not going well.
As the quarterback of a team you can't win a game by yourself but you can lose it. When we aren't playing well as an offense the blame should fall on me because the majority of the time, we can turn on the film and there are things I could fix.
I have to be able to adjust my play at this point in a season because teams do watch film, they do know what you are good at and by defending your strengths they'll make you beat them some other way.
Our playmakers haven't gone anywhere so we have no excuse not to play our best game of the year this Saturday against Southern Miss. Our bowl game hopes are still possible.
