Wow! The past two games were classics. The environment for both games was outstanding! Saturday nightís atmosphere was electric! I spoke to the Green & Gold Club members & guests on Saturday night in the Bell/Wallace Complex before the game. The walk across the street with AD Brian Mackin was incredible! All the people in the streets; the traffic; the spirit; that is what we envision for every night we play in the future. The follow-up crowd for our Wednesday night game against Houston didnít quite match the numbers from Saturday, but the enthusiasm and energy inside the building came real close. I felt it so I know our guys did as well. Thanks to everyone who turned out for one or both games. We have two remaining home games and we need the same type of support and energy when we close out our home schedule. We have a chance to go 14-1 at home! That would be outstanding and a credit to everyone who came out.
But before we get to those home games we have to handle our business on the road this weekend and next week. Itís never easy on the road regardless of the opponent, but we are playing with a new level of confidence. We are getting some nice contributions from several different guys each night. The line-up adjustments we make have been timely and effective. Weíve encountered some injuries in the past couple of weeks but we have found a way to fight through them. We must continue to do that as guys get back to full strength. This is the time of the year where you want all your games to be relevant. Ours are and we must continue to respond.GO BLAZERS!
