Hey Blazer fans!
As I'm sure most of you already know, the season has come to an end. Despite all of our determination, we lost to Memphis, 2-0, in the conference tournament. I can't believe that it's over.
I don't think it has completely sunk in that my soccer career at UAB is finished. I keep thinking that next week I'm going to get up to go to practice to start getting ready for next season. Luckily, in the spring I can still go out to practice with the team while they play in their spring season.
It has been a great four years playing soccer for UAB. I am very thankful for even having the opportunity to play college soccer. I know there are a lot of people who didn't have the chance to play for an extra four years after high school. I have learned so much from my teammates, my coaches and UAB's staff since I have been here, and I wouldn't change anything about my experiences.
Now it's the end of the semester and we are all busy catching up on work. Thanksgiving is next week and I can't wait to go see my family in Chicago, then the next obstacle will be exams before heading home for winter break.
