Women's Cross Country

1992: The Blazers won their first conference title winning the Great Midwest Conference Championship.

2002: Head coach Ray Stanfield begins his first season with the Blazers. During his first season his team broke five school records.

2005: Elizabeth Ambrus became the first UAB runner to win the women's cross country individual title at the Conference USA Championship. Ambrus finished two seconds ahead of second and third place. Subsequently Ambrus was named athlete of the year for cross country.

2006: The Blazers win the school's first Conference USA team championship beating Rice by one point, the smallest margin in C-USA history. Head coach Ray Stanfield is named Coach of the Year.
