Women's Golf

1984-85 - The first season of women's golf at UAB. Joann Beddow was the first coach of the Blazers and coached six seasons.

1997 - The Blazers won their first team title at the Big Bird Invitational in Tampa, Fla., where they took first place with a two-round score of 608.

1998 - Maria Salling became the first UAB women's golfer to win an individual title by placing first at the Lady Ram Invitational during the fall season.

2002 - Kim Wilcox was named the eighth head coach of the UAB women's golf team. She is currently in her fifth season at the helm of the Blazers.

2005 - Brooke Mangan became UAB's first-ever NCAA Regional Tournament participant, marking the first time UAB women's golf was invited to the postseason. Mangan was also named to the Conference USA All-Decade Team (1995-2005).

2007 - The Blazers took first at the Southern Miss Lady Eagle Classic by tallying a 54-hole score of 899, which also set a new UAB school record for lowest 54-hole total in program history.
