Reid Adair is in his 22nd year as a member of the UAB Athletics staff and his ninth in charge of facilities and the Blazers' gameday operations. Adair oversees all of the Athletic Department facilities as well as game-day operations for eight of UAB's 16 intercollegiate sports.

Adair joined the Athletic Department in 1989 as a Graduate Assistant in the Media Relations Department and served eight years (1991-99) as an Assistant Media Relations Director. He was an Athletic Academic Advisor for two years (1999-2001) and served as the advisor for the football team during that time.

He spent one year (2002-03) as the Special Events Coordinator at Bartow Arena, working for former Blazer All-American Steve Mitchell, before returning to the athletic staff.

A Birmingham native and a 1985 graduate of Shades Valley High School, Adair attended UAB on an Honor's Scholarship and earned his undergraduate degree in journalism in 1989.

During his undergraduate career, Adair served on the staff of the student newspaper, Kaleidoscope. His work included six quarters as sports editor and two quarters as editor. He earned his master's degree from UAB in 1991 in athletic administration.
