Matt Wildt joined UAB Athletics in July of 2005 as Associate Athletics Director for Ticket Operations and Football Administration. Wildt is also the Sport Supervisor for men’s and women’s Golf and men’s and women’s Tennis. Wildt has more than 20 years experience in Division I Athletics working in many areas including Ticket Operations, Team Travel, Sport Supervision, Event Management, Facilities and Marketing.
Before arriving in Birmingham, Wildt spent the past eight years at the University of Wyoming. He joined the Wyoming ticket office staff as assistant manager in August 1997 and became ticket manager just three months later. In December of 2002, he was elevated to Assistant AD in charge of special events, while continuing to oversee the UW ticket office operation. In 2003, Wildt began overseeing the Athletic Facilities and assisted in Game Management.
A native of Parkersburg, W.Va., Wildt earned his bachelor's degree in sports management and marketing from Marshall University in 1992. He earned his master's degree in sports administration and management from Marshall in 1996 where Wildt began his career in athletics.
Prior to Wyoming, Wildt spent three years in the Marshall Athletic Department servings as the administrative assistant to the Director of Athletics. His duties included working closely with the facilities manager as well as assistant game manager for men’s basketball and football and coordinating all private suites at the newly constructed stadium. Wildt even did a short stint as the interim ticket manager.
Wildt is married to the former Pam Davis, who had been the head women's tennis coach at Wyoming for six years and has been a teaching pro in Birmingham for the past 10 years. They have one daughter, Paige (13).
