Blake Klotz is an Assistant Sports Enhancement Coach in his first year for the UAB Sports Enhancement department. His responsibilities include designing and implementing a year-around program for the women's golf team. He also assists in the implementation for the football and softball teams.
After volunteering with the Murray State University strength and conditioning department in 2009, he interned at MSU for the 2010-2011 year. There he designed and implemented programs for women's cross country and the Racers' rifle team. He also assisted in the implementation of programs for the Racers' football, baseball, softball, volleyball, women's soccer, and women's track teams.
Klotz is a certified strength and conditioning coach through the Collegiate Strength and Conditioning Coaches association (CSCCa). He has also obtained the USAW Level 1 Sports Performance Coach certification. Klotz also holds his CPR/AED training through the American Red Cross.
Klotz is a native of southern Illinois and graduated in 2008 from Murray State University. He is currently pursuing his master's degree in exercise physiology at UAB. Klotz and his wife Erin reside in Hoover.
