Christina Harris is in her first year working in the academic advising department of UAB. Her main responsibilities include monitoring academic performance of the football. She also assists with the Life Skills program.
Prior to working at UAB, Harris served as the Assistant Academic Coordinator at Duke University. She worked with football, cross-country, track and field and swimming and diving freshman student-athletes.
She also spent three years as an assistant track and field coach at North Carolina Central University. She coached both male and female sprinters and cross-country athletes.
A 2005 graduate of North Carolina Central University, Harris obtained her Bachelor of Arts in psychology and, in 2008, she received her Master of Arts in school counseling. She is a North Carolina licensed school counselor.
Harris is a former track and field All-American at North Carolina Central University under the guidance of head track and field coach Michael Lawson.
A Charlotte, N.C. native, Harris is a member of National Association of Academic Advisors for Athletics (N4A), USA Track and Field Association and Who's Who Among Professional Women. She is also a level one USA Certified track and field coach.
