Media Contact: Baseball, Secondary Men's Basketball, Men's Golf, and Men's Soccer
Anthony Prisco enters his second year at UAB as an Assistant Athletics Media Relations Director serving as the primary contact for the baseball, men's golf, and men's soccer programs. He also will be the secondary contact for the men's basketball team and assist in the public relations effort for the Blazers' football program.
Prisco came to Birmingham from the University of Florida where he spent one year as an intern in their Communications Department. In Gainesville, he was the primary contact for the men's golf program and served as the secondary contact for the men's basketball and men's tennis teams.
During his time at Florida, Prisco handled the daily media activities of the nationally-ranked Gators' men's golf program and the day-to-day publicity of 2012 U.S. Amateur Public Links Champion and 2013 Masters invitee T.J. Vogel. He also assisted in the promotion of the men's basketball team who won the 2013 SEC regular season championship and made its third-straight trip to the Elite Eight.
Prior to Florida, he served as an intern at Syracuse University in his final year of undergraduate study. Prisco served as the primary contact for men's soccer team and was the interim contact for the softball program.
Prisco received his bachelor's of science degree with a concentration in sport management and minor in public communications from Syracuse in 2012.
His other media relations experience includes time with Madison Square Garden, specifically with the New York Liberty, and with Monmouth University in West Long Branch, N.J.
A native of Brick, N.J., Prisco currently resides in Hoover, Ala.
